Lyrics
Heartland Rock
Those precious moments
when we’re just lying around
A vinyl plays your favorite songs
and you right all the wrongs
You make everything....
You’ve torn down your wall
Mine’s still standing tall
But You make everything feel so small
You make me wanna forget about it all
I don’t wanna stop
You and I
We’re heartland rock.
We take each other high
and we take each other low
I don’t feel tied up
this time around
We’re like a fresh breeze
from flowers and trees
You look into
the future and you
will picture my face in your head
With petals on our bed
Hey...remember what you said?
You make everything feel so small
You make me wanna forget about it all
I don’t wanna stop
You and I
We’re heartland rock
You’ll Find Your Way
We’re all looking at the same sun
We all walk the same ground
Take my hand I’ll walk with you
And all the things that make you feel blue
would surly fade
Like the flowers in May
You will find your way
There ain’t no right, baby.
There is no wrong
You’ll find your way, baby
Just gotta move on
Take my hand I’ll walk with you
And all the things that make you feel blue
would surly fade
Like the flowers in May
You will find your way
Come on now
tell me your story
and I’ll tell you mine
We all got our worries
and you will be just fine
We’re all looking at the same sun
We all walk the same ground
Take my hand I’ll walk with you
And all the things that make you feel blue
would surly fade
Like the flowers in May
You will find your way
That road can be narrow
The road might get steep
Don’t you ever give up
It’s in those times of troubles
you learn to get by
Ooh you learn to fly
Daydream
Saved by a daydream. A daydream....
Then reality kicks in.
I’m wearing flip-flops
The sun is going down
And he’s snoring on the couch
with his fly open
I’m about to drown
Saved by a daydream. A daydream
When you drift off to that other place
Coming down with the urge
for something to change
Saved by a daydream
Saved by a daydream
When you come home
you always bring me red roses
I can spot that grin from miles away
You got your ways to make me feel
like the perfect woman
Then your arms surround me
But it’s just a daydream..
A daydream..
I close my eyes again and I..
poor us a cup of that hot herbal mint tea
You like yours real sweet
You say that’s because it reminds you of me, baby
I’m the honey you’re the bee
Here We Are
Don’t you ever change
Love who you are
Cause that alone will take you far
So don’t you lose yourself
Stay true to who you are
Don’t matter anymore
Here we are
Tell a story and make it count
Here we are
Counting down the hours around
Here we are
Here we are
Harmonies by Jessie Brown
Co-written by Hege Øversveen and Jessie Brown
It’s a whole new place
Don’t feel lost at all
It’s like coming home
Just something in the air
Can’t explain but it’s there
It’s like coming home
So don’t you lose yourself
Stay true to who you are
Don’t matter anymore
Here we are
Tell a story and make it count
Here we are
Counting down the hours around
Here we are
Here we are
People you meet
Doors being opened
Takes you somewhere new
Just Let Him Love You
Girl just let him love you
It’s what you’ve waited for
Someone that adores you
for who you are and more
So give it a good old try
You can’t let love pass you by
You’ve walked for miles and miles
on your own
Suddenly there’s someone there to
take you home
Forget everything that you’re scared of
And hold on
Girl, you’re acting hopeless
Never satisfied
Where does that leave you
Blue, so well disguised
So give it a good old try
You can’t let love pass you by
You’ve walked for miles and miles
on your own
Suddenly there’s someone there to
take you home
Forget everything that you’re scared of
And hold on
Get The Fuck Out
One thing I know I worry
too much
Chased around by a
demon on watch
All I really wanna do
is scream
All of this this wasn’t
my dream
And I want doubts to leave
my bones
Get the fuck out
and leave me alone
Spending too much time
doing ”what’s right”
Being all nice
cause I don’t wanna fight
But that won’t get you far!
It’s a war out there
and I’m in it to win
But can I please lower my gun
and sing
Cause, all I really wanna do
is scream
All of this this wasn’t
my dream
And I want doubts to leave
my bones
Get the fuck out
and leave me alone
In Your Arms
Why
did you ever let me go?
I never got the chance to
tell you how much I cared for you
And I
should have the right to know
what my life would be like
in your arms
After all these years
I ended up
in your arms
And it had to be done
to be forgotten
Its over now
I was only seventeen
I was young
and in love
I remember looking at your smile
Thinking how
could anything be so right
Why
did you ever let me go?
I never got the chance to
tell you how much I cared for you
And I
should have the right to know
what my life would be like
in your arms
I can still remember that guy
So high on life
So high
Always looking into other eyes
When he should be looking
into mine
Goodbye Yellow Roses
Goodbye yellow roses
And pictures of me and you
Goodbye late-night dinners
And lazy Sundays too
I’m tired of feeling blue
So goodbye to everything
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to you
I’m simply better off
Goodbye forgotten birthdays and gifts from the
grocery store.
Goodbye smelly t-shirts laying on the floor
Goodbye yellow roses
And pictures of me and you
Goodbye late-night dinners
And lazy Sundays too
I’m tired of feeling blue
So goodbye to everything
Goodbye to you
I remember the day when you walked out
It was pouring down
m-m-m
I though we were forever
Guess I was wrong
Cause now you’re gone
m-m-m
Goodbye yellow roses
And pictures of me and you
Goodbye late-night dinners
And lazy Sundays too
I’m tired of feeling blue
So goodbye to everything
Goodbye to you
You never gave me a warning
Not a single sign
You were cold as ice
m-m-m
You never gave me a reason
Didn’t even lie
You didn’t even try
m-m-m
